What does pitch refer to on a VMS sign board?
The term ‘pitch’ is the gap in millimetres between the pixels on the LED display. Pitch is measured from the centre of one pixel to the centre of the next pixel. A larger pitch, ie: a larger distance between pixels, creates a display of lower resolution. P6 boards therefore have a higher resolution than P10 boards, as the LEDs are closer together. This typically only relates to full HD video boards.
