Designed to slow the flow of stormwater during periods of heavy rainfall, stormwater retention pits are often a local council’s requirement as part of their stormwater management technique. To minimise the risk of flooding, councils require a flow control device to limit the discharge to an acceptable rate and a storage system to hold the excess discharge until capacity becomes available in the downstream drainage system, and retention pits serve this purpose. These retention pits require an adequate cover, based on varying circumstances. Manufactured to AS3996 and available in class B and D. Other sizes available on request
