Sika Sikaflex11FC Joint Sealant and Multipurpose Adhesive
Sikaflex 11FC is a fast curing one-component polyurethane sealant/adhesive with permanent elasticity. It can be used as a joint sealant for vertical and horizontal joints, soundproofing of pipes, caulking, sealing seams, and also as a multipurpose adhesive for indoor and outdoor bonding. It is easy to use, can be painted over and comes in a range of neutral colours in two sausage sizes, 310ml or 600ml. Sikaflex-11FC is approved for use with potable water according to AS4020.
Optimum bonding will be obtained after complete curing of Sikaflex®-11 FC, i.e. after 24 to 48 hours at +23°C for a thickness between 2 to 3 mm.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation:
Sikaflex-11 FC generally has strong adhesion to most clean, sound substrates. For optimum adhesion and critical, high performance applications such as multi story building work, for high stress bonding joints or in case of extreme weather exposure substrate primers and cleaners must be used. Check technical data sheet for detailed substrate preparation information.
Placement:
Firmly extrude Sikaflex® -11 FC into joint making sure that it is full contact with the side of the joint. Fill the joint, avoiding air entrapment. Sikaflex must be tooled firmly against joint sides to ensure good adhesion. Sleek joint with smoothing liquid for a perfect sealant surface. Sealing & Bonding: After substrate preparation apply Sikaflex®-11 FC in strips or spots on the bonding surface at intervals of a few centimeters. Use hand pressure to set the element to be bonded into position. If necessary, use adhesive tape, wedges, or props to hold the assembled elements together for the initial hours of curing. An incorrectly positioned element can be easily unfastened and repositioned in the first few minutes after application. Apply pressure again.
Clean Up:
Use Sika Colma Cleaner to remove uncured sealant from tools after first removing the bulk of the Sikaflex material with a scraper followed by a rag or paper tissue. Sikaflex Hand Cleaner will remove fresh and partially cured Sikaflex from the skin. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Storage:12 months from date of production if stored in undamaged original unopened container in moderate temperatures.
Yield:A 10 x 10mm joint = 6 linear metres using a 600ml sausage or 3.1 metres using a 310ml sausage. A 30 x 25mm joint = 0.8 linear metres using a 600ml sausage or 0.4 metres using a 310ml sausage.
