Reversing Alarm - Medium Duty
The rear blind spot is a huge problem regardless of the type of vehicle or truck being driven. With 90% of reversing accidents occurring off-road in places like loading bays and warehouses, there has never been a greater necessity to carry out effective risk-assessments of reversing processes.
Traditional reversing alarms were designed to warn anyone in a vehicle’s path that it is moving backwards. However recent concerns for environmental impact and noise pollution means that these loud beeping alarms have fallen out of favour.
'Quackers' are a much more environmentally friendly and safe alternative, as the sound dissipates at twice the rate of conventional alarms. They also make it easy to tell which vehicle is emitting the sound, using a unique white sound frequency. This sound is more detectable to people wearing hearing protection or earmuffs, and also to people with hearing loss. The BBS-TEK 'shh shh' sound is gentle on the ear yet unmistakeable, and it dissipates quickly meaning it can only be heard in the danger zone.
The sound from the BBS-TEK subsides quickly outside of the danger zone, meaning the alarms do not cause noise-nuisance and thus eliminating noise complaints. Furthermore, with its multi-frequency range, White Sound alarms can operate effectively at 5 decibels lower than a conventional beeping alarm.
