Regulatory Sign - R2-10A Give Way To Pedestrians 600 x 600 mm
Regulatory signs inform road users of traffic laws or regulations which, if disregarded, is an offence. They are normally placed at the point or beginning of the section where the regulation applies.
However, in this case according to www.rms.nsw.gov.au Pedestrian sign R2-10 is not a regulatory sign. Even though this sign has a regulatory sign number(R2-10) this sign cannot be legally enforced and is an advisory sign only.
The use of this sign is purely to alert motorists is situations where drivers of vehicles may be unaware of the presence of pedestrians crossing their path in the same signal phase.
