P2 Plastic Telco Pit
Plastic telecommunications pits are used across a variety of telecommunications, electrical, air, rail and road projects. Manufactured from up to 90% recycled materials, the rotational moulding process uses black UV stabilised high density polyethylene material. These pits have been developed in partnership with industry and major authorities to ensure they meet the stringent requirements for installation and long term use.
They are lightweight, stackable and available in a range of modular sizes, and tested to Class A load rating (ultimate limit state design load of 10kN) under the Australian Standard AS/NZ 3996. Pits can be rated up to Class B when installed in the ground and backfilled with crushed rock or stabilised sand with internal PVC pipe support. A range of covers up to Class B are available to match each plastic pit depending on the load rating required.
