Butyl Primer for Manhole Sealant Mastic 1L

This mastic primer is suitable for use with Jaybro's flexible butyl mastic manhole joint sealant. Mastic joint sealant is ideal for quick and effective sealing of pipes, manholes, tanks, precast components, wells and drains. A butyl-rubber based sealant, it is designed to be permanently flexible, tacky and resistant to moisture and deterioration by exposure to dilute chemical solutions.

In the case of wet or unusual conditions, this primer is recommended before applying the butyl rubber mastic

APPLICATION

Surface Preparation:

Stir primer prior to use. Brush apply onto clean dry surface. Leave to air dry a minimum of 5 minutes before applying manhole sealant mastic tape.

Clean Up:

Use mineral turpentine. Wipe up spills immediately with a dry cloth.

12 months shelf life if stored below 28ºC and in shade.

Note this product is highly flammable. Do not use near spark producing tools or clothing. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Keep away from heat, flames and other source of ignition.
