JAY-FILM is a water based aliphatic alcohol finishing compound designed for use on plastic (freshly poured and screeded) concrete, to reduce the evaporation of water during finishing operations.
JAY-FILM is designed to assist in the control of plastic shrinkage.
JAY-FILM should always be used when the temperature of the conditions (air & ground) are greater than 5ºC different from the temperature of the concrete being placed.
Windy conditions (dry particularly) can accentuate this variance, accelerating the moisture loss from the slab.
JAY-FILM should be pre-diluted as described and then sprayed on freshly poured and screeded concrete. Each time the surface is worked the diluted JAY-FILM should be applied.
JAY-FILM helps to control the evaporation of water from the slab and thereby plastic shrinkage.
JAY-FILM will not normally interfere with subsequent toppings, tiling, render, surface coatings etc.
