Carona Group is a leader in the manufacture of custom made barrier and door systems. The company provides access solutions that offer dependable energy efficiency and hygiene for the food manufacturing industry, supermarkets, healthcare and heavy industry sectors.
Headquartered in Sydney’s Blue Mountains, Carona Group has a small team of 7 onsite staff, and a total of 35 staff working on installation and service projects nationally.
Although not a huge team, the process of managing uniforms for installers and service technicians was still laborious and time-consuming.

THE CHALLENGES
Carona Group’s Tracey Lee explains the existing uniform process was cumbersome, difficult to manage and desperately needed streamlining.
“We managed uniforms by stocking them ourselves and having to go around to each staff member when we had time, asking them individually if they need anything. We needed to ascertain what size everyone needed, and then start compiling an order which would typically drag out to a couple of months.”
Along with the considerable time and effort administering this process, reliable and affordable clothing supply was always a challenge, as the team didn’t require large bulk quantities.
“Because we don’t need to order massive quantities all at once, we’ve always had trouble with suppliers dragging their feet, meaning it takes weeks for all the items to be monogrammed and returned to us.”
When the uniforms do eventually arrive, the job of sorting and distributing again falls to the admin & HR teams.
“When our order arrives, we have the task of sorting all the sizes, styles and items into each staff members pile, and then trying to catch them when they were in the office to ask them to take their new gear home. We also never had enough in stock in the right size so we end up ordering extra, and are then left with not-so-popular sizes sitting in the cupboard… a waste of space and money.”

HOW JAMS WORKS
JAMS is accessed via a simple online app, and is typically set up so that HR, management or administration teams have full admin access, and employees have limited access.
Each employee logs in with their own details and can choose from a pre-selected assortment of uniforms, work boots and other PPE. They can also select a customised delivery address, negating the need to receive everyone’s orders in a large lot at head office, meaning there’s no sorting and on-forwarding required.
JAMS ensures that multiple delivery addresses can be set up so the employee can completely manage their own requirements, end to end.
From a management and admin point of view, JAMS allows you to pre-set allocations and choose appropriate clothing or uniforms for your team, so everyone can stay true to your approved uniform style. You can set limits on items, manage a database of logos to personalise your team’s workwear, and view budgets and usage reports at the touch of a button.
