Embracing Equity: How Jaybro is celebrating International Women's Day 2023
International Women's Day is celebrated every year on March 8th to honour the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe. This year, the theme for International Women's Day is #EmbraceEquity, which highlights the need for equal rights and opportunities for women and girls.
Jaybro is actively embracing equity by implementing policies that support women in the workplace, which include flexible working, hire and promotion of women into leadership positions and supporting women in non-traditional trades. We also recognise we have a way to go and have a number of strategic initiatives to pursue throughout 2023.
This year we have joined Cuppa.tv to support our employees with masterclasses and learning experiences around wellbeing, work performance and belonging based topic areas. Cuppa was born from the need for us all to connect in a time of uncertainty and isolation brought on by COVID. As part of this celebration, we have lined up four amazing and inspirational women who will be interviewed by Cuppa host and founder Gill Hicks:
- Ronni Kahn AO – social entrepreneur and founder of food rescue charity OzHarvest
- Emily Unity – lived and living experience professional and passionate human rights advocate
- Dr Catherine Ball – Associate Professor, global business pioneer and strategic futurist
- Holly Ransom – globally renowned keynote speaker and disruption strategist
Jaybro has always been committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women in the workplace. As we celebrate International Women's Day 2023, we are proud to reaffirm our commitment to creating a more equitable world for all. So let us all embrace equity and work together to create a more just and equal world for women and girls everywhere.
