We’re celebrating Certification Nation Day, a global Celebration of Outstanding Workplaces!
It's Certification Nation Day!
In April 2021 Jaybro was recognised as a Great Place to Work®, and this week we’re celebrating the very first Certification Nation Day!
June 22 marks the day where the entire community of Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies across the world come together and recognise the companies working to create great places to work for all.
A whopping 90% of our team agree that Jaybro is a great place to work compared to the typical Australian company which ranks at just 55%.
"Being part of the Great Place to Work® program is a way to show the rest of the world what we already know: that Jaybro is a brilliant workplace,” says CEO Jeremy Joyce.
“Our team are incredibly proud of this certification on a deeply personal level, and it’s humbling for the business to have so many employees that support each other and drive our business forward as one. Being a Great Place to Work® also helps us stand out as an employer of choice and is a gateway to attracting more amazing people to our team so that we can continue to grow together into the future.”
Showcasing our outstanding employees
Throughout the coming weeks, we’re excited to showcase our amazing employees and everything they do every day to serve our customers, support their colleagues and give back to the community. From volunteering alongside the SES with the Rapid Relief Team to chairing local youth organisations, our people are truly amazing in both their work and personal lives.
“Having a workforce of amazing people means we provide the best service and the best experience for our customers,” adds Group HR Manager, Alison Passey.
“This is reflected in our consistently high NPS scores - we know we’re on the right track! We’re incredibly proud to be part of Certification Nation Day alongside so many other organisations.”
Why being certified matters
According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits and have a fair chance at promotion.
The Great Place to Work® badge is recognised worldwide by employees and employers alike and is the global benchmark for identifying outstanding employee experiences.
“Australia’s first ever Certification Nation Day demonstrates yet again how critical employee engagement and trust is to an organisation’s success. In what has been a tough twelve months for Australians, it’s pleasing that Australia's great places to work workplaces are using this opportunity to celebrate their employees,” says Samantha Huddle, Australia New Zealand General Manager at Great Place to Work.
“Certified companies put employees first,” adds Michael C. Bush, CEO at Great Place to Work.
“Thriving employees increase revenue, profit and provide market-leading customer experiences. I hope that Certification Nation Day can inspire other executives to create and sustain employee-first cultures."
Although there is a great party atmosphere in the office this week, it’s important to honour all of the hard work that goes into creating a certified company.
“Great Place to Work Certification™ isn’t something that comes easily,” says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work.
“It takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience.”
Alison adds that the certification process has been complex and challenging at times, but the benefits are plain to see.
“It’s been a lot of work to obtain our Great Place to Work Certification, but it really raises the bar for our company and lifts the calibre of job applicants. We’re open about not being the right fit for everyone - but those that do find their niche here can truly shine.”
