The Apprentice Employment Network NSW & ACT (AEN NSW & ACT) hosts an annual awards night to recognise outstanding achievements in the vocational education and training sector. Apprentices, trainees, host employers and group training organisations were in attendance, including the Jaybro and MIGAS teams, supporting our finalist, Brenden Cai. Over 100 applicants applied and only 8 finalists were chosen, and we are very proud of Brenden’s Trainee of the Year NSW 2022 finalist nomination!
For over a decade, Australia’s peak regulatory body has run a campaign during October to raise awareness of health and safety in the workplace. Safe Work Australia encourages businesses to put heightened focus on WH&S by running internal events during National Safe Work Month, and Jaybro Group has several events on our employee calendar that deliver safety knowledge from different perspectives.
The team at Jaybro Group is dedicated to normalising mental health challenges, and ensuring the lines of communication are always open within our business.
For this reason, RUOK Day is one of the key dates on our calendar, which we recently marked with company-wide morning teas and toolbox talks. However, the conversation around mental health isn’t simply a box to be ticked off once a year.
