Clear mission and values
Our core values are alive and living through the business. Every employee can clearly articulate what these are and what our mission in business is.
Transparent business
By 'opening up' our books and sharing all financial information, we teach our employees to think and act like owners, regardless of their role.
Committed to diversity
Our aim is to attract, keep and promote the most qualified person for the job – regardless of race, religion, gender, age or education.
Focused on development
We want our people to look back on their career and say the place they learnt the most about business was at Jaybro.
We invest in our people
Many of our people leaders have been promoted up from various positions within the business.
Regardless of title, level of qualification or time in the workplace, every one of our employees is put through a rigorous training program. Why? Because we want our people to look back on their career and say the place they learnt the most about business was at Jaybro.
Jaybro has a leadership development program and emerging leaders program focused on building leadership capability across the company. All employees use the Jaybro Learning Hub for tailored learning pathways for ongoing development.
Diversity and inclusion
At Jaybro, we know that employees are key to the success of any organisation.
Our aim is to attract, keep and promote the most qualified person for the job – regardless of race, religion, gender, age or education. We strive to make our workplace inclusive, supportive and free of discrimination or harassment. When recruiting, we identify the best candidate for the job and have systems in place to further that candidate’s knowledge. This enables our people to achieve the best outcomes, and those results are rewarded and recognized based on individual results and performance. In late 2022, Jaybro will be launching its new Reconciliation Action Plan and Diversity Action Plan to cement its commitment to an inclusive workplace.
Empowering our employees to think, act and feel like owners through the Great Game of Business!
Business has all the elements of a game: rules, scorecards, rewards for winning – and the chance of losing.
By 'opening up' our books and sharing all financial information, we teach our employees to think and act like owners, regardless of their role. Everyone at Jaybro has skin in the game.
By rallying everyone around a common goal we encourage healthy competition and the drive to succeed. We empower individuals to take ownership of decisions and use fun incentives (mini games) to boost engagement and reward achievements. All our employees complete financial literacy training and learn to understand the Profit & Loss Statement, our Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
We then provide employees a stake in the outcome if we overachieve our company financial targets. This means employees share a slice of our profits!
